Nursing is the art of incorporating trust, compassion and curing for the client, as well as science of the pursuit of knowledge, all while maintaining personal beliefs and values. The nursing profession is learned and practiced as an art. To succeed as a nurse, one must look past issues and first see just the person. Not only does the nurse care for the person, the caring must extend the family as well. Family member’s emotional connections to the patient provide additional and important knowledge to the nurse that may influence the care and the patient’s health.

My learning objectives include improving my knowledge in various surgeries and my skills while assisting different operative procedures and improve my communication and interpersonal abilities.

My strength includes strong ability in assisting surgeries and confidence for managing theater duties.

Weakness is in terms of writing academic essays and its referencing style. It was absolutely new to my education system. Moreover, I have some difficulties with Australian accent.

Opportunities include tutorials and lectures, workshops and different ongoing trainings which help to improve my objectives.

My plan – I can cope with new academic aspect through the use of University website guidelines. Meanwhile, clinical placement will help to fulfill my objectives.

I get good support from my lectures that helps me to go in right way. I could improve my nursing skills and computing knowledge.
