Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing this letter to apply for the position of Registered Nurse (RN). I am interested to work as RN in your organisation. I am enthusiastic candidate with all the skills necessary to join and contribute to patient care at the hospital.

I am Registered Nurse of Nepal and have 4years of working experiences in hospitalfield like medical, surgical and post-operative wards. I am fascinated in learning new things and wanted to expand my knowledge and skills in nursing. So, I arrived in South Australia in November 2008 to pursue my studies in Diploma of Nursing and completed in 2011. I am registered as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Currently I am doing Bachelor of Nursing (Post Registration) as an international student.

I did my acute placement for Diploma of Nursing in Modbury Public Hospital, Rose court Aged Care Facility and Amber Lodge for mental health. During my placement, I worked under the direct and indirect supervision of RN. I had good experience and got positive feedback from staff and teacher. I have competencies and range of skills to undertake the role in an efficient RN. I am extremely motivated and have strong analytical skills on nursing field and delivering professional quality care. i have extensive experiences and knwoledge with effective communication skills and ability to adapt to new environment and challenges situations. you will find that I am an extremely fast learner and high adaptable to demands of work place and reliable and responsible person.

In addition, I am trained as a personal carer, the qualification of EN and now with Bachelor of Nursing and as well as my past experiences which has built my confidence. My most recent experience is with Helping Hand Aged Care. For further consideration I have enclosed my Resume.

Nursing Philosophy

Nursing is an art and a science. The art component incorporates interpersonal skills, and embodies certain values, beliefs and standards unique to nursing. The science component involves the development of cognitive and technical skills required for nursing practice. The competent beginning nurse must be proficient in both the art and science of nursing. Both are critical for professional practice.  (WWCC, 2008)

The discipline of nursing provides a unique contribution in disease and injury prevention, health promotion, maintenance and restoration and support of patients and their families throughout their life span.Effective nursing practice, education, research, and leadership are grounded in the complexity of human relationships. As critical thinkers, nurses systematically assess situations, define problems, identify goals, plan, implement and evaluate the care provided by self and others in order to achieve successful outcomes.
