Hello

I am Dolkar Gurung. I have completed my proficiency certificate level(PCL) nursing from Gunaraj Pathak memorial nursing campus. It was a 3 years programme. I have worked as volunteer nurse in drugs and drugs leading HIV programmes and a detox centre in Nepal, I have attended many seminars through that.  I came to Australia in the year 2008, for my diploma nursing (EN), which I completed in the year 2010. I also added Aged care nursing before starting my dploma nursing and did my placement in CARA ( community accomodation and respite agency). This added me lots of knowledge to know about disability in Australia, which I was always interestd in. In dploma I did my aged care placement in St. George nursing home and my acute placement in Moonta hospital and Loxton hospital. I was also interested in rular nursing, so it was a great oppurtunity to be able to participate in differnet nursing sector. I go to lots public as well as private hospital in Adelaide as an EN from agency. This have built up lots of knowledge and idea on me to see and learn. Currently I am doing my Bachelor of nursing (post registration) with William light institute partner with Ballarat university. I will finish around july with course after my placement in march. Behind this I am also a mmber of Lions club of seaton, Australia. I enjoy doing social work and meeting new people.

During the last year 2011, I have undertaken Bachelor of Nursing post registration through William light intitute partner with university of ballarat.I have also completed Enrolled Nursing form Careers Australia, College of Healthcare, Adelaide in the year 2010 and have been working since then as an EN in aged care as well as hopital sector. I have completed CPR, Manual Handling, First Aid training and child safty as part of my study. I have completed Certificate III-Aged Care academic qualifications and work experience as a Community Support Worker/Personal Care Worker role and as an EN after my registration, which add further relevance to the position I have applied. In addition I have completed my Proficiency Certificate level Nursing in Nepal which will add up in my qualification, experience and providing health care.
